Other Projects: Sought after as a soloist for a variety of projects, Nadine Balbeisi has sung in Oratorios, Operas, concerts and numerous recordings. Nadine Balbeisi is featured in the first 3 CDs of the Reliquie di Roma series of Erin Headley's award-winning ensemble Atalante, which focuses on repertoire from 17th century Rome. The first CD Lamentarium has received outstanding critical acclaim. Musicweb International hailed it as “Recording Of The Year 2011” and highly praised her performance: “The Pianto della Maddalena is a masterpiece, and it gets a highly impressive and often moving performance by Nadine Balbeisi, who brings out every nuance of the text.” Johan van Veen She has performed with Atalante in the Boston Early Music Festival, the Galway Early Music Festival, London and Sienna. They just recently staged the baroque opera, Orfeo by Luigi Rossi, in Galway, where Balbeisi performed Euridice. She will be on a US tour with the ensemble in 2015. As an oratorio singer Nadine Balbeisi has sung with numerous ensembles including Concerto con anima, Neues Rheinisches Kammerorchester, Neue Düsseldorfer Hofmusik and Churpfälsische Hofkapelle. She has performed J.S. Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, St. John and St. Matthew Passions, Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen and numerous cantatas. Her repertoire includes Haydn’s Creation, Missa in tempore belli, Mozart’s Exsultate Jubilate, Great Mass in c minor and Requiem. As a Lied singer Nadine Balbeisi has collaborated with pianist Lydia Qiu performing songs by Schubert, Schumann and Wolf etc. She was awarded with a scholarship in 2011 to participate and perform in the “Lied Course” at the Franz Schubert Institute in Austria. |
